How Do You Create Post For Instagram?

Now, you know what to post to drive amazing engagement and ultimately get followers that would turn to sponsors.

So, how do you create these attention-grabbing posts?

I will segment this into four categories. Which are;

  •         Video contents
  •        Instagram stories
  •         Lyrics video
  •         Comic sayings

Let’s start with;

1.   Video contents

Video contents can be your official video or a clip from your studio sessions.

Best of all, as I’ve highlighted upfront that Instagram’s algorithm favors video content more than images. That doesn’t connote that images are not super engaging.

Images are still pretty relevant for driving engagement. I will talk about it in the succeeding paragraphs.

Concise but intriguing video content do well on Instagram. Now, I don’t want you always posting clips of your song. Your fans will get bored which will translate to losing them in the future.

Therefore, I highly recommend leveraging different video contents like; lifestyle, short motivation clips, intriguing stories, and songs of other artistes (make sure to give them credit).

Use the following apps for filming and editing;

  •         BandLab
  •         Inshot
  •         Open Camera
  •         Vlogit Wondershare

2.   Instagram Stories

Do you know brands post 2.5million Instagram stories a week? Also, over 4 million brands are advertisers on stories, as of January 2020.

That huge, right?

There’s a possibility that the numbers will go up as we journey into 2020.

So, there are apps for creating thumb-stopping Instagram stories that would stand out and bring in followers.

  •         Canva (online tool)
  •         Unfold (iOS and Android)
  •         Partternator (iOS and Android)
  •         Story Luxe (iOS and Android)
  •         Enlight Pixaloop (iOS and Android)
  •         Adobe Spark (iOS, Android and Desktop)

3.   Lyric Videos

Lyric videos have become so popular. Best of all, I create professional lyric video for very affordable rates.

4.   Comic Sayings

Have you seen a Chinese man singing worship songs in their dialect? It’s funny, right?

I know it cracked you up.

So, everyone loves comedic sayings. Say it’s a video, gif, or an image. Comedy reliefs one of the problems and heavy thoughts.

If you integrate it into any social media posting your followers will be skyrocketing. Even those that don’t love music will be trooping in to know when you’re dropping the next one.

At some point, we want to cool off, right?

5.   Images

Images are a great way to tell super-engaging stories that would drive tons of engagement.

If used creatively, can make your account go viral. Which will help publicize your brand and awareness.

I will show a cool trick from one of the world’s best Internet marketers.

His Neil Patel.

There’s no way that post won’t go viral.  He is a clever dude.

Above all, you use canva to create something like this for free.

So, leverage this idea. It’s a pretty cool strategy. when Instagram sees these signs and shows the post to more people.

How Often Should A Musician Post On Instagram?

The frequency of posting on Instagram should be an average of 5 to 10 times a day. But, whatever schedule you choose to adopt, be consistent.

In fact, data shows that brands that post between 10 times per day get the best results with their Instagram marketing efforts.

The exact number of posts make should be determined by what you have to say and how insightful and interesting it is.

A couple of companies like Hubspot, Sprout Social has tried carrying out studies to determine but a lot of variables are involved.

Typically, I recommend using Canva to create pretty awesome Instagram stories that catch the attention of your visitor right off the bat.

If not, you are not going to do well on the run.

What Is The Best Time To Post On Instagram?

Now, you know how often you should post to leverage frequency and consistency.

You’re probably hoping I can give you a definitive time to post on Instagram.

Unfortunately, it’s not that simple and direct – there are a lot of factors influencing it.

So, some companies carried out a study to determine the best time to post on Instagram but were, however, limited by the difference in time zone from country to country.

According to Influencers Marketing Hub, some studies suggest that;

  •         HubSpot – between 2 PM and 3 PM – Thursday the best day
  •        Sprout Social – Wednesday at 11 AM and Friday at 10–11 AM
  •         Expert Voice – Wednesday: 11 AM and 3 PM (doesn’t specify time zone)
  • Later – 9 AM-11 AM EST

Considering the difference in time zone, my advice is, post on a consistent schedule if you are looking to get more followers and increase your engagement.

Can I Post A Cover Song On Instagram?

Sure, you can post cover songs on Instagram and any other social media platform so far as you’re crediting the host artiste.

What I mean is, you should take a person from the artiste before going ahead to make cover songs off his or her song. I have a step by step guide to promoting cover songs.

It will be of great help so, check it out.

Wrapping Up

There are no proven ways of posting on Instagram as musicians. It’s not true. A lot of companies have tried carrying out in-depth studies but all proved abortive.

That’s doesn’t mean there’s no way to get around it.

It’s totally doable to get hundreds of followers if you leverage consistency in posting high quality and interesting content.

Make sure to use the above recommendations.
